I do. Just call me the article pack rat.

Compiling all articles on Joe Barton

Does any savvy listmate have all the articles (TV and Newspaper) that have

come out on Barton,

Hastert, and the Combating Autism Bill?

Do you think it would be effective if we compiled all those links into one

document to send to the

national media outlets like New York Times and Evening News with

, etc.

If anyone has all those liks saved - please e-mail them to me and I will

compile them and send it

out for anyone who wants it.

Just the weblink, title, what paper or news station, etc.

Send it to MGuppy@...

I have been sending them out to Olbermann as well - he has been doing a

great job exposing Washington scandals, malfeasance etc...he might bite if more

people send in...not as big an audience, but one nevertheless, and ,,,,he is on

MSNBC - the only place we are getting some help through IMUS and local

coverage...--- - if you want to send them to Countdown - that would be

great...I am sure yours is far more comprehensive then mine...

You didn't hear this from me, but I know for a fact that Newsweek is

currently working on a feature story about Joe Barton and the CAA.

Possibly a cover story. Keep your fingers and toes crossed..

,

I am sure that if we al start blogs in the republican WebPages and

in the myspace republican clubs about Joe Barton blocking the help

all of our children need it would hurt not only Barton but the party

and getting all this bad rep on their sites an public blogs outside

the autism community would make them listen because it will cost

them votes.

I have already started to post blogs on the republican clubs at

myspace.com and public forums so when people do internet searches

they can find the truth about Barton and politicians like him.

I have also emailed my representatives as well as the

representatives where our friends and family who support our little

one letting them know that the lack of support they are showing for

our children will be reflected on the votes this coming election, my

father-in-law even got a call from one of his personal friends who

is a Senator because I emailed him and he told him that even though

he has been a republican all his life he will vote for the

democratic or independent candidates if something does not change.

He is also letting all his friends know and people are starting to

react. But we need all our friends and family to support the cause

and let their party leaders how they feel about what is going on.

Personally I am discussing with a senator and a congressman that are

friends of my family for them to mirror the bill that just passed in

New York making insurance companies cover autism treatment and so

far I have their support so hopefully we will be able to see

something on the next legislative session.

We have to get the support of family and friends and act as one

group representing the whole autism community to get the attention

our children deserve.

Unless we get all the different associations and groups together the

autism comunity won't be as strong as it can be if we all act as one

group. After all we are all looking for the same thing for our loved

ones.
