Of course he drinks beer too, which I just can't. Eating actual visible wheat makes him sick, but he's never been tested for gluten intolerance, so I have no idea where that leaves him. He's awfully healthy though. Heidi Jean
Guest guest
, Good questions, because I've been wondering about the oatmeal in my body lotion too. But you know, I've come to think it's not a good idea. In fact, I just decided a couple of days ago, that when I finish the little bit in my bottle of lotion, I'm not going to get more of it. (And, I love it and have been using it for several years!) I know we absorb what's rubbed into our skin, and allergies have to do with responses in the blood, so why wouldn't rubbing an allergen on the body be just as bad as swallowing it? Any thoughts anyone? Carol Hi All, Any thoughts on using wheat germ oil topically if one is gluten intolerant? How about a shampoo w/ wheat protein in it? Thanks! It quacks like skin absorption to me. --s

I didn't EAT the stuff but it gets under your nails and the dust gets up your nose. When I shampoo, the water drips from my hair down my face too, so you gotta figure some gets into your eyes. And who is it that NEVER touches their food with their hands? I've also read that the IgA system is there to protect the mucousal tissues, which make it seem like it should be in your nose too, tho no one ever talks about that? So breathing in fumes should affect people, same as breathing in dog dust bothers people who are reactive to dogs. Heidi Jean
