bitter milk, please help!

I have recently found a source for raw milk in my local area. The milk

becomes unbearably bitter after about three days... it does not sour until

several days after that. I get it from a nice lady who has enough land for a

cow, a calf, and some chickens, and some produce. I am wondering what to do

with this milk, and if I should continue to get it. It does not taste like

any other raw milk we have ever had even fresh from the cow.

We have moved to this state recently, and have had a hard time with all of

the " local " products we have found (fruits, vegetables, meat). We also have

bought eggs from the same source, and they taste funny to us. They made the

baby puke, and the cats won't eat them. Everyone else we have talked to who

gets eggs or milk from her say that the food is fine, and doesn't seem to

have any problems with it. Is it possible that it is some kind of local

taint?

We are planning to move out of this area (and back to somewhere that we have

not encountered problems like this) as soon as we can save up enough money

(hopefully by spring). Meanwhile, should I continue to get this bitter raw

milk? Should I continue looking for another source? (I haven't stopped

looking, and there aren't any others within a day's drive that I have

located so far.) Or should I give up on the raw milk idea until we move?

I am heartbroken to even consider giving up raw milk, but I can't expect my

family to drink something that is so bad tasting!

Help! Any advice is welcome!

L.
