Stock fodder

Reviewing what I ordered from my favorite farmer to pick up today, I

noticed a little item that I'd forgotten about ... something that says " 4

feet, 2 heads " .

I'm not sure exactly what I was thinking at the time I placed the order.

;) ... I assume it refers to chicken parts.

Who was it that was all squeamish about having chicken feet floating around

in the stockpot? Well, think of it this way ... apparently I'm gonna

have feet AND heads floating around in the stockpot.

Can't beat 's two sheep heads staring at him out of his fridge, but

it's certainly a first for me.

Hmmmmm ... I wonder what would happen if I tossed a chicken head at the cat?

That's assuming I'm really going to end up with chicken heads. We shall

see. :-D

That is all, carry on.

Hey , that was me being squeamish, but it was about the eyes floating in

the stockpot, not the feet... there's just something about seeing

decapitated heads in the pot. LOL!

The cat would probably enjoy what little he could get out of the head...

They may or may not eat them. I give my cats whole, raw sardines a couple of

times/week and they normally leave the heads, but they don't like chicken at

all, so you'll just have to see.

You may need to crack the skull open so the cat can get at the brain

Cheers,

Tas'.

Hee hee. Thanks. Well, my freezer's full of stock already anyway, so

we'll see if I get the willies. Actually, as I was defrosting one of the

heads last night, I was essentially cracking myself up ... " I can't believe

I have a chicken head sitting on my counter! "

The only fish His Handsome Highness will deign to eat on a regular basis is

salmon. Apparently sardines are too bourgois (sp?) for him. Bird,

however ... his favorite food, especially when served live.

At first I considered being mortally insulted (for HHH's benefit) that The

Mighty Hunter would need assistance in cracking a measly chicken skull.

Then I decided it wouldn't hurt to help him a long just a tad, since a

chicken IS a bit larger than his usual " snacks " , hence the skull would

probably be thicker, blah blah.

*sigh*

I'll never look at that nutcracker in the same way again.
