The " virgin oil from India " from WFN is exactly the same oil as coconutoilonline sells, it comes from the same source. http://www.qualityfirst.on.ca is the only source of the cold process centrifuged coconut oil worldwide, they have a patent on the process. They supply all the retailers with this oil. They will send a retail price list to individuals if asked. regards, Bruce
Guest guest
Our chapter buys 5 gallons of either the Philippine or Indian virgin CO from WFN at a time and divides it up. With shipping, this brings the price down to about $14 a quart (which is 2 pounds). Don't know if you have anyone to share with, but this is how we keep costs down. And most of us go through at least a quart a month between cooking and smoothies. Haven't had the burning issue with the oil that you mention, though; are you buying the virgin CO or an RBD (refined, bleached, deodorized) product -- don't know if this would make a difference or not, but thought I'd ask. Guest guest
Oh, well, I was hoping for an easy solution! Among other, lower heat uses, I use coconut oil for stir fries, which are at pretty high heat, and have never had the CO burn. We'll have to kick this back to the group... Anyone else have ideas? vb/ On Monday, November 1, 2004, at 05:57 PM, Magda Velecky wrote: > > Haven't had the burning issue with the oil that you mention, > > though; are you buying the virgin CO or an RBD (refined, bleached, > > deodorized) product -- don't know if this would make a difference > or > > not, but thought I'd ask. > > > > B. > > > ######### I buy the virgin oil, not RBD. > > > > > >
