It was drinkable, but not exactly tasty. I thought tomorrow I would add a spicey tea bag to the water when it's boiling to add some nicer flavours (the tea bag has no black tea in it, just a blend of spices like ginger, cinnamon, black pepper). A question for katja.... I bought some echinacea root at the same time as the cleansing herbs. I thought I'd mix it into the other herbs, but then thought there might be some problems with combining them. Would it be ok to do this? I usually drink echinacea tea, and it does seem to help prevent colds (along with the megadoses of vit C I take whenever anyone around me comes down with anything!). How much echinacea root should I add to the mixture? I have 25g of that, and 75g of everything else. Thanks for your help Jo

The bags are organic, Yogi Bhajan brand, and no oils are listed in the ingredients at all, just the spices. instead, use fresh ginger, and cinnamon bark > sticks - just break them > up. Unfortunately, no time to do in the morning when I make up the tea to take to work. use licorice root too. licorice is a big flavor > enhancer and is also > liver oriented, so personally i'd go with that. Liquorice seems to send my BP soaring, so I don't like to take too much of it. > also, make sure that you > have two parts sarsaparilla to one part each of d & > b - that will also help > the flavor. Oh well, too late - I have less sarsparilla than the other stuff! > are you sure you bought echinacea ROOT, and not > leaf? I've just been taking a standard brand. I guess I should cut down.
