Allergies? Rash

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what could cause me to

get swollen, chapped lips and an irritated mouth for a couple of days

followed by rashes all over the body which refuse to disappear. This

exact same thing happened last fall and lasted until winter.

Dermatologist steroid creams and Allegra are no help and I do not even

want to use them. I have heard of certain foods (especially since my

mouth responded) aggravating seasonal allergies (and I am allergic to

basically everything outside, and cats and dustmites). I have started

taking cod liver oil and am not trying out excluding grains (gluten

intolerance test). Anyone have experiences such as this, or

recommendations? I am open to anything.

Thanks a lot,

Blake

My oldest child gets this when he eats something that he reacts to. CLO is

one of the foods he reacts to. He's also gluten intolerant at the root of

all the other intolerances.

Probably not what you wanted to hear, eh? :-/

HTH!

Friend just recently started getting what you describe from shellfish. Was

shrimp the first time. Tried shrimp again with same result to be sure.

Didn't dare lobster at the beach as she's a lab tech and familiar with

allergies. Could be any of the foods listed in last column of this table

http://www.foodintol.com/matrix.asp where mouth lip swelling occurs.
