Do you cringe when your child says s/he has homework to do?  Homework time can be a very stressful time in any home.  Is it a struggle to get through it?  Did you know that research says that homework can help students improve their memory and understanding of schoolwork?  That it helps with developing study skills that will be of value even after they leave school?; and that homework reinforces the fact that learning takes place anywhere, not just in the classroom?

Our presenter Lakeita Servance, Parent Engagement Specialist with the Georgia Department of Education, will explain how parents can successfully play an active role in the learning process and maximize the benefits of homework with our children.
