I believe it is better if someone younger and with no other health problems received the liver . My youngest daughter turned 18 , so I am ok now that I know all my children will be ok . This doesn't mean I have given up , I may just try the protease inhibitors when they are released . Like me, Liz fought the good fight. Even more than me, she tried treatment 4 times. Each time she treated her disease got worse. Liz worked in the health care field for many years as a paramedic and likely contacted the disease that way. She has fought the fight. Listen to her story and you just might learn something. I try never to think about this disease. It has a stigma and a sense of shame. A treatment forit probably ruined by marriage (I relapsed) along with the baggage the disease has. It is also difficult to find mates who are not afraid of it. Yup this is a disease that carries alot of baggage.Treatment is rough and if the family and friends are not prepared for the stuff that comes with it can be even rougher. I am lucky, I have a husband that he is a excellent caregiver, a son that is willing to up and leave Oklahoma to come to Texas to help his dad and I. I am in a clinical trial, and I go into the doctor's office and I see people from all walks of life. Each of us has a story to tell. I am glad you shared yours. Or the water causes all the mineral loss. I take lactitose every day twice a day and then some other toxic remover because my amonia kept rising. I do take milk thistle and a stool softner to and thats it. Try to stay away from red meat and salt. So the cramping is normal and I dont mean the charlie horses you get I am talking tight muscles that just dont work so good. Could be the extra 30lbs of fluid. Im to fat and need to get into better shape.
