I personally do not "share" my milk,,, We live in PA and I own about 30 dairy goats. 16 of which are milking does,, This year,, after reading all the horrid things about GM products and how they are creating toxins in our enviroment and killing our animals,,went to an organic feed mill,,(3 hours away) and got organic feeds,,that arre not GM. this ment I had to eliminate corn and soy from my goats diet,,because,as any feed mill will tell you,,and any farmer for that matter,,,THAT YOU CAN NOT BUY CORN THAT IS NOT GM !! It does not exsist..that they are aware,,same with soy and there was another one,,but i dont' remember what he said it was right off the top of my head,,,I would like to know,,if anyone else has found this out,,

I have found myself in the grocery now,,checking labels,,,and OH MY GOSH !! EVERYTHING HAS SOME SORT OF SOY OR CORN PRODUCT,,, We are killing ourselves ... So to drink our milk and keep our animals healthy,,we have been doing ALOT of research,,, It is truly unreal,,the state we are in,,,tooo sad ! in PA

I know that you didn't mean to send the email but, I'm glad that you did because this is my latest pet peeve. The only crop that is guaranteed to be GMO free is wheat. The bad thing is that the wheat is milled on the same machines that mill GMO soybeans. So, by the time the milled wheat is shipped to our reliable sources, it is contaminated. Corn pollen can travel 1,000 miles. Soy less than that. Not sure about the other crops. These GMO crops are contaminating the foods that we are growing and the grass our animals are eating. Anything that is manmade, is going to contaminate our bodies and make us sick!!!!! There is no question about that. Certified Organic does not mean that there isn't any GMO's in the foods. Unless the foods have been genetically tested (and the companies have to be willing to do that), chances are, there are some GMO's. And we wonder why we are such a sick nation....we can onl

y blame our government for supporting Monsanto and other corporations like them! There are some stores that will guarantee that their foods are GMO free. www.nongmoproject.org has a list of those stores. Just my .02. This is a serious issue and, since we all want to eat as healthy as possible (otherwise why would we be drinking raw milk?), we should all be very concerned!!!!!!

We have been aware of this and have our local feed mill make up a special feed for us. It is a custom mix and has been working well for us since Jan. of this year. It contains no soy or corn.

That is awesome!! I am sure that a lot of the farms are aware of it. I just wish that the consumer were aware of it... :( Thank goodness for people like you!

--Taaron,

Can you please post your grain mixture? I've been working hard

to stay away from Soy, but find it hard not to use corn in my feed

mix. Thanks Deb

Sorry about that. My question should have been addressed to Rhonda.

I better learn to read closer. Anyway any help with healthy feed

mixes would be appreciated. Deb

Anything that is

manmade, is going to contaminate our bodies and make us sick!!!!! There is no

question about that. Taaron, You and I are both " manmade " .You don't understand

what GM is.It shortens the time it takes for nature to change things. Instead of

10 years to get that crop with the genes you are looking for, they can PUT the

gene in and get the crop in 2 -3 years. Even with cows and goats, if you use AI

you LOOK for the best genes for your herd. If you would look at more than NO-GM

sites you could learn a great deal. Chevy never advertises for Fords. Nora

Nora,

When does the fish gene end up in a tomato, or the human gene end

up in rice if man isn't messing around in a lab? That big lie, that

it just speeds up the natural system, has been bantied about by the

big $ corporations to try to fool the people. Obviously it worked on some.

Please tell me how plant, animal, bacteria, and other genes are

going to end up in my cattle because I select a bull from a good cow

to pass on those traits I want. Or how animal genes will end up in the

plants without some money hungary mad scientist putting them there.
