Guest guest
Hi Melty: I do believe we are seeing only one persons opinion, only, and that is her opinion! I do understand what you are saying and some medications do affect some people differently than others and yes blanket statements should not be made! I personally am on diazapam and have had no problems whatsoever with it , to date! I have been taking it for approximately 11 years? Again it affects people differently, yes? Take care now and no one is trying to put anyone down or up or over, lol! We love Ya'll! So unwad your shorties and join us before ya get a wedgie, lol! Guest guest
Dear Ann; I am not severely schizophrenic and am not severely mentally disabled but DO take an anti-psychotic medication that has saved my life. . I am all for posting different opinions about different medications but please do not lump conditions and medications and make such broad statements. Thank you, Melt ----- Original Message ----- From: a.g.-ann Since Bob approved my posting of medical news/findings...will post it. All of us with chronic pain suffer from depression <thats an understatement> But when the Drs use a psychotic drug, for pain issues...sigh... Some on here may disagree with my outlook on these New drugs. I have had too many bad experiences, side effects. Have been handed these anti-psychotic drugs in samples and now, tell them to take the darn things back. I don't want any part in them. Severe shizophrenics, those with severe mental ailments need them.

Guest guest
I have seen alot of antidpressants and antipsychotic used for alot of medical disorders. Doctors prescribe these drugs for nerve pain, sleep, chronic pain and to counteract side effects of other drugs. I have seen these meds save lives. I have seen patients that were in such pain from trauma ( falls ,accidents, sexual and pysical attacks ) that they would cut of an arms to stop pain. I know one patient I had was in an MVA and broke alot of bones. Her doctor ordered elavil. The patient refused the med and was yelling that she did not need a antipsychotic. well I talked to her aand got her to try the medication. I saw this same patient 6 weeks later and she told me that the elavil was the only med she is on and she told me that she thanked God everyday that she is taking that drug. My point is people do not take the time to know what other conditions they are used for. There are still people who just label a person as " crazy " or " insane " when they find out people take anti depressants. Melt I am glad you found a drug that helps you and saved your life. Guest guest
Thanks Jackie, I send a lot of time fighting the Insurance company. I think when this is all over I will be more of an acting avocate for this disease. I have promised our maker that if my physical and emotional factors let up that I will dedicate the rest of my life fighting for a cure to this and others like it. I hope I can soon start my mission. Currently its a struggle getting through each day. I also want to commend you for all the work you've done to help people. Maybe one day we will meet in front of a memorial in a tribute to a cure for this disease and others like it. Thanks again Jackie and everyone. Guest guest
Hi , That would be great!!! I'd love to meet you... I know that insurance companies are a pain in the neck to deal with, but it can only get worse if our system is changed.. the gov will most likely feel that those of us with this virus simply do have have good enough odd that would enable them to pay for our treatment and so most of us will be left hanging with no treatment and all new research will be stopped because there simply wont be money for research and development.. sad for sure,, I sure hope that nothing changes,, I dont want to get all political here,, so Ill stop right here,, Please take care! hugs, jax From: Gray <ggray1956yahoo (DOT) com>Subject: [Hepatitis_C_ Central] MedicationsTo: Hepatitis_C_ Central@yahoogro ups.comDate: Saturday, August 29, 2009, 8:22 AM Hi Everyone...
