Question about bone marrow

Hi everybody:

I've been learning more day by day by reading the messages, this time I have a

question: Has anybody had back problems after the bone marrow? The only part of

my body that wasn't hurting was my lower back, but now it is, so bad to where I

can't find a good position to sleep or to even sit at work (I work at an

office); but it hurts right where the bone marrow was done, so I was wondering

(sorry for beign ignorant) if this due to that exam or is just more pain from

stills?

I had an appointment with my rheumy 1 week ago, he decreased the pred. dosage

from 30 mg daily to 20 mg and in 2 more weeks I'll be on 15 mg for 1 week until

he sees the results of the next cbc test which will be on week 4th. Then he'll

decide if putting me on mtx or not. I really want to get rid of pred now,

especially because of the hair I'm getting all over my face, but he doesn't seem

like he's worried about it and I am because of the reseaches I've been doing

about the side effects of pred.

The week I saw my doc. I was feeling very very good, my kees were not swollen

anymore (I even went to play tennis twice without any problems) my white cells

were not too high (almos 13000, when I was in the hospital they reached the

30000 and left the hospital with 22000) , but last week and this week have been

horrible. I've been extremely weak, in pain, sleepy, and I wonder if its due to

the lower dosage of pred (I hope not).

Thanks for any comments,

Jackie
