The discussion about PANDAS have really sparked my interest, and doing some research on the internet, one of the main symptoms is daytime urinary urgency and frequency. My son, who is now 5, had a bad case of strep throat around the age of 3. If the OCD is caused by PANDAS, does it get better if they go on an antibiotic? I want to take him to the docs tomorrow to get his take on things. What are your experiences in dealing with pediatritians when trying them to diagnose this condition? I have never heard of PANDAS until now, are most of your docs familiar with this? What am I asking him to do...a throat culture? Is that how it is diagnosed?
