That has got to be the most horrific statement I have heard come from a

" parent " . Clearly, someone who doesn't have a clue about real life, and

thinks the world should revolve around the neurotypical. How boring that

world would be. My children have taught me so much. He/She has a whole lot

to learn, but is so thick headed, perhaps they never will.

I would pity them if that post did not leave such a bitter taste in my

mouth.

Good thing you seem like such a strong woman. I would have been devastated

having that directed towards me and my beautiful daughter.

Debi, I don't even know what to say to that. I think you did the right thing by

keeping your answer short and not specific. Honestly, I wouldn't dignify that

filth with an answer. It means nothing and was written by a moron. I imagine

it must hurt, by try to ignore it. We all know there are idiots out there.

HI Debi,

I'm curious as to why you are thinking it is a teacher? It may just be some

goon at home who just finished watching Jerry Springer and has nothing better to

do today.

Terri & others,

I do not think that this is about " hurt " feelings at all. This is about the

safety of her daughter, her privacy & the law.

Ugh! Sure does leave a bad taste in my mouth! I don't think it's a police

matter, but the school/principal should teach about the 6 pillars of

character. The poster falls in the group of Hitler, rednecks & all ignorant

uneducated, superiority complexed people of this world who has a giant chip

on her shoulder. Has to make others look bad to feel good about herself.

There were aspects to the message that showed a close relationship. I

can't go into great detail at the moment, but it pretty much has to be

staff or friends/family of staff or parents being fed the info.

I just got off the phone with a school authority. The investigation

has begun.

I think that's one of the funny things about that post. They use Helen

Keller as if it's offensive. I think she was a very cool person. Look

at all she overcame. She showed how much there is in someone who

outwardly displayed little. She showed what hard work and love from

others can do. I'm blessed in that Allie does have eyes and she does

have a voice, though limited it may be -- it gets better every day.

I gotta say, that hurt me! And it wasn't even directed at me or my child. I

wanted to post something back to the person, but I decided it wasn't worth it to

stoop to their level. Truely makes me sad that a person like that is raising a

child.

nothing and was written by a moron. I imagine it must hurt, by try to ignore it.

Oh Debi that post makes me feel so extremely sad and scared. I am so sorry

you had to receive this and that there are people out there who write and think

such things. How very depressing. Hang in and know you are supported. I hope

the trauma of this passes quickly.
