Guest guest Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 They've laid it out, quite clearly, on their site. What I have to wonder is why these people are so helpless and dependent on processed, prepared foods. Maybe they should focus their efforts on finding locally raised sources of food and learn how to cook - maybe pick up a copy of Nourishing Traditions. Ah, well.....I guess we'll work on the food processing industry from our perspective and Krafty can take their road. Maybe we'll meet them somewhere in the middle of the squeeze. But I do have to say, at least these folks are organized and have taken steps that I haven't seen the raw dairy movement take as far as looking like a threat, and looking official. Thus, my other post about co-operative as a business model..... From the Kraft site: OUR DEMANDS: http://www.krafty.org/why.html We are calling on all food companies, particularly Kraft Foods, to immediately do the following: Stop using genetically engineered ingredients in all of its products unless adequate testing, labeling, and liability are established; Start labeling products containing tested genetically engineered ingredients, so consumers can make their own choices; and Pledge not to use genetically engineered wheat, currently being developed for commercial introduction by the biotechnology industry.SharonOn 3/24/06, noratbr <noratbr@... > wrote: hmmm indeed. I never said GE crops were good or bad. I see nothing wrong with them. I have done much research into this and have found more good than bad. In all science there are risks involved. We must get the facts. Weigh the two sides and see what is best for the majority. This cartoon takes a well known and hard earned name, Kraft, and drags it in through the mud, with little regard for facts. We are to believe that every group that does this type of thing is telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing else? If this were true, no one would entertain drinking raw milk, THEY say it is bad for us. Thank you for sending your links, I'll add them to my collection and still weigh the two sides. All Kraft foods have been on my do not buy list for a long time--I'm allergic to wheat, don't do eat crackers or cereal. Ideally my grocery buying would be only locally raised meat, dairy and eggs from pastured animals and local organic produce in season. That would be the Weston A Price diet.
