Guest guest
I was on Effexor for two years and I've been off of Effexor for two years. while I was on I had no interest in sex whatsoever , and painful ejaculation as well as prolonged ejaculation. Since I've been off of Effexor my sex drive has returned to normal but I'm still having painful ejaculations and sometimes prolonged ejaculations. Any Suggestions? Guest guest
I'm an enzyme therapist. reading through these symptoms , I had no idea these drugs had such long term effects. the owner of the company created an enzyme product designed to folks off of prozac type drugs and it along with digesting your food works very well. it all goes back to protein, carbohydrate and fat digestion. protein is needed to make neurotransmitters and carbohydrate is needed to make serotonin. and fats are good for the sex drive (fatty acids). www.emofree.com is a good site to deal with emotional issues and many other things. it looks stupid , but is pretty powerful . if you to email me off list, I'd be glad to direct you where to go. hth, linda rn Re: Effexor >> I was on Effexor for two years and I've been off of Effexor for two> years. while I was on I had no interest in sex whatsoever , and> painful ejaculation as well as prolonged ejaculation. > Since I've been off of Effexor my sex drive has returned to normal but> I'm still having painful ejaculations and sometimes prolonged> ejaculations. > Any Suggestions?>Anyone ? Guest guest
i noticed that you hadn't received many responses, this used to happen to me and it is very disheartening. unfortunately i have come to the conclusion that there is very little support going on here. what i can tell you is that for some people these issues resolve in time. it can take a long time, however. i have the same symptoms as you as well as low libido and arousal problems. i am at about the 1 and a half year point post ssri and have seen no improvement in orgasm quality. when you say 'prolonged ejaculations' is that as a result of numbing? this particular symptom seems to be better on some occasions than on others in my case. try to stay hopeful, its a real struggle, i get quite suicidal some days, but there have been guys on here that have had these symptoms and worse and who have seen great improvements. one young guy was in the exact same desperate state as ourselves and within two years got good sensation back, the ability to get aroused and have sex on a daily basis and enjoy his orgasms. check out some of his earlier posts and then his final one. i think his user name was bfleer. when i get really down i read his posts and it gives me hope. its hard when time passes slowly without evident improvements especially when you read about people that are still suffering years after ssri use, but many do recover. past posts attest to this. some have recovered or seen great improvements in as little as a year, some 2, some 3. one guy made a full recovery after 5 years. its hell not knowing when or if, but what other option do we have but to wait, hope and see what the future holds for us individually. the orgasm symptom has always been the most concerning for me. i truly believe that i have been robbed of nature's most precious gift, but i hold on to the fact that some people have regained this pleasure even after a long time and some of these people were in the exact same position as us i.e. their orgasms were completely pleasureless and even painful at times. > > > > I was on Effexor for two years and I've been off of Effexor for two > > years. while I was on I had no interest in sex whatsoever , and > > painful ejaculation as well as prolonged ejaculation. > > Since I've been off of Effexor my sex drive has returned to normal but > > I'm still having painful ejaculations and sometimes prolonged > > ejaculations. > > Any Suggestions? > > > > Anyone ? >
