Went to a tcm doctor, he looked at my tounge, took my pulse. I told him about ssri use and lack of libido. He said they have caused an imbalance. Gave me some tablets to build up whatever was lacking. Jing or jin or something i cant remeber gets depleted and needs building up. I am now normal. I only took one tablet every seven days. I noticed within seven days changes taking place.Previously i suffered for 2.5 years starting with complete impotence, took herbals that gave me erections, made very slow progress but always lacked libido until now. To think it was only needed to see a specialist in herbal medicine and i would have recovered maybe straightaway.BUT, is it going to be permanent? so far so good, feel normal and libido, erections natural.Anyone been to TCM practitioners? i dont know what i am taking its all in chinese writing but the

writing on tablets is english, the tablets are yellow and on one side

they say ying and on the other they say yin.

Whatever it is its made me feel normal. I look at a hottie and boom!.

like it used to be, natural and normal.

The chinese have a system of medicine 1000s of yrs old. I could not

understand exactly what the doctor was saying cos of his accent but i

recall him saying antidepressants mess your mind up and caused

imbalance which needs building back up which should be brought back

up quickly. I felt changes within seven days.

See, in china have western medicine universities and TCM

universities. They attend both to be a qualified doctor in china u

need to know herbalism as well or something like that i dont know for

sure what he was saying, the accent made it difficult, but he said

some things like this and he told me know about antidepressants and

all western drugs and can even prescribe them in china if need be but

also know the side effects etc and how to counter them, thats all i

picked up from him.

i suppose you can go to any chinese herbalist and you would be able

to find this medicine, if you explain anti-deprerssant side effects

on sexual ability.

Mo,

Congratulations on your recovery and thanks for the information.

This is interesting and potentially very important. Is there any

chance you could take a picture of the box/packaging and post it to

the group so we could have a chinese person translate it?

This " jing " sounds very interesting. Mo, can tell us exactly who you

I wish I would have went straight into Chinese herbs in trying to

treat this instead of other experiments that left me worse off in some

ways.. But despite that, erections are much better with the Chinese

herbs.

There are different possible causes from impotence/libido issues in

chinese medicine - the whole jing deficiency or kidney yang deficiency

is one, but excess heat in the body causing stagnation is another.

My herbalist first used heat clearing herbs on me then included mostly

kidney yin herbs like (asparagus root aka tian men dong) - we have not

done too many yang type herbs yet (which are stuff like epimedium or

tongkat ali) because they can cause problems if the heat is not cleared.

Anyway, it's probably good to see a practitioner that can correctly

diagnose the pattern.

It would still be good to know which herbs he gave you, since there is trial and

error in any system. It sounds like this guy got the right ones for you on the

first attempt, but other TCM practitioners might not be as knowledgeable (or

lucky?). If there is any way you can fnd out what the herbs are, plase let us

know. Thanks.

Vornan,

That is an excellent idea, my thought was to scan the label. If anyone remembers Cow Head pills,Tung Shueh Pills. They were outlawed in about 1993. FDA said they contained valium.

There was no Valium in the pills I would have know as I am allergic to Valium. Anyway, The CHPills totally arrested my Fibromyalgia and depression. Shortly after 1993 a barrage of fake CHPills were everywhere and of course they did not work . My 90 year old cousin who was bent over and using a walker was totally transformed by CHPills. A couple of days after starting them she stood strait up and was able to climb steps independently. Her cheeks had a rosy color and she looked 20 years younger. These pills had a translation to English that said it moves away poison black blood. Of course I would love to get my hand on the real pills but have read that the factory in China was closed. These were an arthritis sufferers dream as well as Fibromyalgia. I believe firmly in the Chinese medical system.

I think this just might be the answer to our problem with PSSD.

My hunch is that if you go to a chinese herbalist they will more than

likely prescribe you something else. If you tell them you want what

MO had they will most problably say it the wrong one for you as they

look at every person individually. Still, this is the best news yet,

and being a westerner, I have no doubt that ones that worked for Mo

are the ones for the rest of us.

To get my sexuality back would turn my whole life around; it's a

dream I can hardly believe. That would be amazing.

Mo_Attif, congratulations. I can only imagine how good you must be feeling in

having

your sexual function back.

i have been to a TCM doctor, he prescribed me a 2 months supply of chinese

medicine. It

however did nothing for me. It was different to what you have taken because i

had to take

these medicines every day, twice a day. The ones you took had to be taken less

often, so

they may be a difference in ingredients etcc....

We all need to try this medicine, the one you took, the Brand and the dose.

is it possible please, if you could ask your TCM doctor the name and brand,

maybe say to

him someone you know wants to try this exact medicine, and what he would ask for

to

get the exact same medicine.

Many Thanks and congratulations

Mo,

Any chance you can tell us the address or phone number of this

Chinese herbal medicine store? We are all very curious and would

appreciate it.

Thanks.

I think a good step for most of us here would be to google

traditional chinese medicine in our area. I found 3 practitioners in

my area and e-mailed each of them to see if they have any experience

treating SSRI damage. Try to find the best one. Most of them do

acupuncture as part of most protocols.

Keep in mind that quality varies amongst acupuncturists and that there

are different styles classical/five element vs tcm or even japanese.

Also some acupuncturists can make custom formulas while others cannot.

a couple of years back I went to see a tcm doctor for a skin condition(in Calgary Chinatown) he gave me seven packs with mixtures of herbs to take one a day. he asked for 95 dollars.

the second week I went back and that time he gave me seven more packs for 200 dollars.

I was supposed to boil the package and drink it twice a day. I felt really sick but I forced myself to it. I finally quit when I started throwing up. it was just too strong and it didn't feel right. I didn't go back to the chinese doctor on the third week as I supposed to. I also felt that he was taking advantage of me and was charging me a lot more then he should have. also chinese friend told me it can't cost that much.

please be careful who you go to. ask around. talk to chinese people in Chinatown first. they know. make sure he is a good doctor. and that is being fair with you.

otherwise I'll be extremely happy if this chinese medicine helps or cures PSSD. looking forward the name of the medicine.keeping my fingers crossed

Okay, i am getting too many emails so i will clear some things up,

i dont know what is in it, but it worked. Thats all that matters.

People have asked me how it works and what i did and you know as i

have been thinking more and more i remember something.

I also recall i took cyproheptadine for 2 days before i took herbs as

well..this was no plan, i have been haphazardly trying many things

overtime in desperation and the cyproheptadine was making me too

sleepy so i stopped but i did not notice anything in them 2 days....i

remember i took it before and nothing really happened but out of

desperation i went to it again... but this time i took it for 2 days

at 8 mg and then could not hack the sedation and then had seen china

doctor and he gave herbal tablets so stopped cyrproheptadine and took

the herbal tablets and voila within seven days i am cured. Was it the

tablets, the cyproheptadine, or a combination i dont know and i dont

care, whatever happened i got better. Thats all that matters. Doctor

says it was just the herbs that did it and the cyproheptadine had

nothing to do with it, he maybe right as previous time i took

cyproheptadine and nothing ever happened but this time after i start

the herbal tablets i am cured. But maybe the cyproheptadine did some

changes in brain that allowed something to happen, i dont know. and i

dont care.

Thats my experience. Maybe you can try the exact same formula, take

the cyproheptadine for 2 days and then start the herbal tablets.

I did not feel the doctor wanted his info so public...especially

telephone number and all....imagine a 1000s people rining up to make

enquries so i only passed it on to first people to email me, like

Zant, Nick , Chauran who emailed me, but the emails are getting out

of hand so here you go. But he is cool with it, he has organised to

handle any excess calls.

Dr is based in the UK

Address is

Opposite Birkby Medical Centre

Birkby

Huddersfield

West Yorkshire

England

If you simply want the herbs posted out he says he can do that ring

07752921649 its a UK number so you need the UK dialling code if you

are abroad, you can get info from Zant as well as he wants be using

them as well.

He was the first to email me, so i gave it to him cos i did not want

to make the info too public, cos 1000s would ring up in one go and

doctor did not want that disruption and i did not know if the doctor

wanted me to make his info soo public, but i was getting too many

emails and its now okay to ring that number if you want to order

herbs or if you want to make an appointment to see him.

If there are any UK members, someone should really track down this guy and find

out what

he gave, or more generally, what he gives people with this problem. Mo doesn't

seem all

that interested in providing that information himself, but this could be a VERY

important

development here for PSSD sufferers. It needs to be pursued.

Hi im Alan, and I live in London, in the UK.

I rang the number Mo left for us to call. I spoke to a friendly guy who told me

that the

ssri's cause imbalance in the brain. He said that western medicines treat the

brain as a

different identity to the physical body. He said Chinese medicine treats the

body and

brain as a whole. He said some western medicines just treat the brain ( example

ssri's )

and so leave the body imbalanced. The brain and the body always needs to be

balanced

he said.

He said to make an appointment to see a Dr.Lin. I would be checked out, my pulse

and

tounge, which he said show signs of imbalance etc... He did say he could post

out the

same medicines the doctor prescribed to Mo if i wanted but said since i was in

london, i

should drive down to yorkshire to see him. he went on to say foreign patients

could have

them posted out. He also said i could see any TCM doctor. But i told him that i

had seen a

TCM doctor and what they gave me didnt help. He went on to say you must find a

fully

qualified and registered TCM doctor.

So I am going to see this doctor Lin hopefully during next week when i make an

appointment. Its about a 4 hours drive from London to Yorkshire, but its going

to be

worth every minute if i get cured.

I asked him if he would tell me what the name of the medicine was, he said it

was made

by a chinese company called ''KB'', but couldnt remember the exact name of the

medicine.

After all he was just answering the call, he wasnt Dr. Lin himself.

I think people on here should make the call themselves, and get some information

that

you require. I will keep you guys updated once i get my medicine.

''Mo Thanks for the number

Alan
