Guest guest
PJ, a divorce during an illness can call for spousal support and unrequitable division of property in the favor of the person who is sick - in some states. I don't know where you are, but sometimes it also requires the leaving spouse to continue to carry health insurance on their wife/husband if it is in effect - for a period of time at least. And IF you need an attorney for those things - ask for attorney fees to be paid by him. Be sure and check the laws in your town. And also know that some attorneys specialize in that type trial, others in real estate, criminal or whatever, so pick your attorney accordingly. You can also sometimes get free legal assistance depending on recourses. IF It comes to that, keep the faith. I was single when I became ill and I have made it.
