Hi Shan

This is very interesting and not widely known..

l was always told never meddle with a lump?

So the big question is " How do we " decide when to leave it alone and

when to have a biopsy.

This seems a very dangerous way to find out if a cancer will

spread /metastasize?

...and why no mention of cryogenics it has been used on animals very

successfully for years and years, it is time for humans to have it?

oh dear dear silly me, this means the cancer will be frozen to death

and we get a life, not good for pharma profits ME thinks:~}

but look on the bright side if the docs cause the biopsy to spread

you are hooked for life the life they impose on you?and hey it keeps

them in work, and boy all that nice profit for the Pharmas... drugs

for life until the cancer or the drugs kill you, back to the coffee

enemas..

Huston.. we have a problem

wow..

Hello Angie

I had just run across this info about biopsies a couple of times but

never sought it out. But I have a tumour in my thryoid and my doctor

(Dr Byron Hyde) wants me to have it biopsied. I remembered vaguely

something about biopsies being dangerous so haven't been jumping up

and down to have it done. I discussed this with a friend whom is an

alternative doctor. He had been researching cancer cures for one of

his patients and suggested that I grow & ingest lots of wheatgrass.

As he said, " go crazy become a wheatgrass freak " . He said that it

should shrink the tumour until the tumour disappeared. Now I had

recently heard another alternate doctor in a group I belong to,

jubilantly tell us all about a patient of his that had only several

months to live; but on her own, started growing & injecting

wheatgrass in large amounts and 3 months later was cured. He was

thrilled. So I started looking into wheatgrass and it is used

successfully to cure cancer, in particular what is called 'second

stage cancer'. I have been looking into wheatgrass the last few

weeks, and that is what I am thinking of doing. My problem is that to

juice wheatgrass, one needs a special kind of juicer which I can't

afford. One can evidently just chew it, but in the amounts I will

need to take it, don't know if that is feasible. I hate money! - not

having any anyhow. I hate being on disability. I have wondered if the

give us so little money to give us motivation to get off of

disability - but decided that couldn't be it as they don't give us

enough money to get well.

Anyways; it would be nice if I could have a nice safe biopsy and

find out if it is definitely cancer or not so maybe I can not

worry. So I started checking into the biopsy thing again hoping that

maybe something had changed? (Well, hope springs eternal, they say.

But nothing had changed; didn't really think it had.) The positive

thing about needing to look into growing wheatgrass is that I found

out about 'sprouting'. It is easy and cheap and the best way to eat.

So now you know why I was checking out biopsies. Thought I would

share what I had found and maybe somebody would come up with another

solution - though the wheatgrass is a very good one. I thought of

asking my allopathic doctor if she would write to disability and tell

them I needed one of these juicers to see if they would pay for it -

then learned that allopathic doctors can get into trouble for

recommending alternative cancer treatments. Well, I am not 'out' yet,

but I truly would like to get started on the wheatgrass. I am getting

nervous.

many blessings

Hi Shan,

I don't pretend to be an expert on this, but had some thoughts.

I did have a biopsy on a mole on my ankle, which turned out to be malignant

melanoma. (The mole had changed shape and size). That is about the fastest

moving cancer there is. Nicknamed " galloping melanoma " . Imagine what that

information felt like.

I was told radical surgery was only option and must be done really soon. I had

short time to scramble to learn all I could.

If not caught, or reaching a second sight, metasicising through body would be

quick and fatality maybe within months/a year. The Dr. did not tell me this...I

read it in a Science publication.(Did not have Internet).

There was not time to do as much research as I'd want to, and certainly not

weeks contemplating wheatgrass!

In my case all (allopathic) info agreed with the surgery. I was able to confirm

this with a relative who is a pathologist.

If caught soon enough Melanoma is about the highest survival rate! Armed with

what i learned in a speed course, I said yes, and had the surgery..very

extensive in the area with a 7 inch scar, and many many months of healing.

(Lower limb takes longest to heal). Not a fun time for sure, but frankly, CFIDS

has been worse, I would say!

This was in 1995, and here I am. I have some nerve damage, but can walk and

still possess that limb lol. I wondered about that going into the surgery.---

In a sense, I was lucky because I think the time frame, and the type quickly

narrowed the options to one. {Especially since my ME/CFIDS includes damage to

decision making function.}

Cancers are not all alike!! As I understand it, this is both in the Biopsy or

Surgery risk, and others. The article supplied seems far too simplistic to me.

One size does NOT fit all. {Tho I agree that many profit and political factors

are involved}

Thyroid is entirely different from mine...in location, treatment options.

The FIRST thing I would do, is research it specifically, especially how fast or

slow growing. Is there a Cancer Support group locally? Perhaps you can locate

others faced with your dilemma. I would also ask Dr. Hyde and others the top

Oncologist available and consult with them ASAP.

If I had a slow moving kind, I might jump on the wheat grass. But there are also

other miracle wholistic cures for cancer...find out! (Cottage cheese and flax

oil is one to look up). But I think the wholistic are more than one thing, but

several to do at once...diet, etc.

Dr. Hyde is very respected..is there a reason to doubt his advice, or not to ask

him more questions? Has he had other ME patients who faced this?

About thyroid...the location is delicate, so radiation for instance must be

researched and planned for very carefully. In short, I would get all info from

all sources, including patients. Knowledge is power. Know risks and options. But

don't take so much time (weeks) on just one thing IMO.

Having said all of this, because of the prognosis of the type I had (and stage

and complexity of my ME/CFIDS)...if it returned...there is a good chance I would

refuse all allopathic treatment.

YET, I cannot possibly know that for sure, because I am not in those shoes

today. THere is always new information, too.

Maybe you can jump on the wheat grass, but it really sounds like you need much

more info to make final decisions...and soon.

Hope this helps,

Best wishes,

Katrina

P.S. Dr, Cheney told me Melanoma is No 1 cancer if PWCs. SO, to all, get

screened from Dermatologist ASAP and regularly! IT is quick and easy.
