I do not have Hashi. I am a thyca survivor.

Folks who are hypothyroid are more prone to infections of all kinds than other folks. Those with Hashi get a double whammy in that department.

You are probably not yet on your optimal dose of thyroid meds. And once you are on an appropriate dose, it can take 6-18 months to feel well.

Furthermore, not everyone does well on $ynthroid. Some folks do better on other brands of levothyroxine such as Unithroid or Levoxyl. Still others need a source of direct T3 such as Armour or Cytomel.

I never did really feel well on $ynthroid for 12 years on doses as large as 300 mcg.

I started feeling better immediately when I added Armour to a reduced amount of $ynthroid. I am now feeling much better on a combination of Armour plus the Lannett generic levothyroxine.

What you may need is highly individual.

Hi! Sour Lake is just outside of Beaumont. I really don't feel any different but I have only been taking Synthroid for 1 week. I think he prescribed that because I am nursing. Have a question though, I have developed a very large boil on my thigh, very painful. Is this something common with hashi's? Thank you for the advice on getting a copy of everything. I have been researching it and I think I kinda understand it now. Do you have hashi's? Thanks
