My understanding, the definition of Class B diabetes is the onset

greater than 20 years in age and a glucose intolerance of less than 10

years duration. This is primarily what we see in obstetrics, of

course with gestational diabetes. However, my huband would fall into

the Class B catagory currently because he was diagnosed after the age

of 20 and has a duration of less than 10 years.
