Guest guest
Hello: This is the most interesting and informative discussion group I've ever joined! I've been " lurking " and listening for over a week now -- and I truly believe that " listening " to others is the key to understanding. It has been my experience that most people share their deepest feelings not to get advice or to ask someone to " fix " them, but simply to be LISTENED to. R. Covey sums it up well in Habit #5 of " The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People " : " Seek first to understand, then to be understood. " He continues: " Everyone's life is so singular, so unique. Who will listen to understand that uniqueness? " I have my own opinions and I may choose to jump in and express them. But before I do you can be sure that I will prayerfully and sincerely do my best to try to put myself in the other person's shoes before jumping! You're a great group of people -- all of you. I've learned lots from you already and hope to learn lots more. Love and Blessings, Sharon
