Guest guest
My mom took my dad to the doctor today, and he thinks he has an ulcer. Stomach area very tender and some blood in the stool. My dad does not have a lot of his stomach anymore due to bleeding ulcers when I was a baby. He almost died then. I'm sure it is the medicines he takes. He has lost about 8lbs. He told me today that he wanted his Chady boy and myself to take him to the boat before he dies. Chad is my oldest son who always spent a lot of time with my parents when he was younger being the first grandchild has priviledges. Chad & I will have to take him to the casino boat, that is where he wants to go. Likes to play the slots and Chad is 21 now so he can come along. Sally thanks for sharing such private details with us. It made me cry because when my dad was first diagnosed I cried a lot, then you go into survior mode and we know death is coming, but we don't know when and I always wonder how I will handle it. My daughter said the other day, " Mom it's kind of like cancer, we know this is going to take him, we just don't know when. " your grandpa sounds a lot like my dad. Just when you think they are not totally with it, something profound comes out of their mouth. Sandie I could not believe school was not started at least late, or cancelled. I got gas in my truck and my fingers and toes hurt so bad!! C. Adel, IA C. Adel, IA
