You Have Power Living Inside of You

I grew up believing that God lived everywhere. He was everywhere

around us. He lived in the heavens and He saw everything, and knew

everything.

I remember, as a youngster, praying to God and never getting my

answers to my prayers. I was always asking for silly stuff ... silly

stuff like " Please, God, I know I didn't study, but could you give

me an " A " on my science exam " . Of course, if I didn't study I

wouldn't get that " A " I requested.

As a teen, and young adult, I would ask for the winning number to

the lottery. " Please God, give me the winning lottery number because

when I win, I'm going to wear only Farrow clothes (they were really

hot at that time) and buy a brand, new, top-of-the-line, luxury car.

Probably a Benz or something and have it customized and sit on some

real " hot " rims. " I was always asking for something silly like that.

There were times when I use to think that God was too busy to hear

my prayers. What with listening to all the other zillions of people

on this earth, I was sure He had to prioritize them. Asking for a

grade in science or to hit the lottery weren't as important as

someone asking for Him to save their soul, or for a kidney needed

for their two-month-old baby. So, I stopped praying to God. Well,

not completely stopped, but I did limit my prayers.

Then, the most amazing thing happened. I grew older and realized

that God does live everywhere. BUT HE ALSO LIVES INSIDE OF ME. That

was the most mind blowing, earth shattering information I had ever

discovered.

And guess what? God not only lives inside of me, but he also LIVES

INSIDE OF YOU. I kid you not. God is with you all day, every day.

You wake up with Him. He's with you when you go about your day. He

is with you when you are asleep. He's with you ALL WAYS.

Isn't that an amazing fact?

Now, some folk, you know how they are . they don't want to say that

God is within us. They want us to believe He lives in the sky and

what lives inside of us is something altogether different. They

admit there is something inside of us, but they want to call it

something else. But hey, call it what you want. Call it your

conscious, your subconscious, your intuition, call it whatever. I

happen to call Him God.

Once I've discovered that He lives inside of me, there was simply no

stopping me. I had a soul in which God resided. How powerful did

that make me!! How can I EVER go wrong in anything I do with God

right here with me, always?

I started praying again, but this time, I was armed with the

knowledge that although God was somewhere across the country

answering someone else's prayers, He was also right here with me. He

is never too busy to hear my prayers and He's never too busy to hear

yours. He's omnipresent!

I became a praying fool. My relationship with God increased and my

life truly enriched. He started showing me things I've never seen

before and realizing just how powerful a person I really was. Me,

powerful! A simple, home-guy from the block ... with incredible

POWER! ... because God lived within me.

You have THE POWER also. You know why? Because you have God within

you too. Once you get in touch with your personal savior who lives

inside of you ...YOU WILL BE UNSTOPPABLE. Learn to communicate with

Him and seek out His purpose for your life, He won't hesitate to

reveal it to you. He will start to place opportunities right in

front of you, bringing people and ideas to you at a rate so fast

your head will spin. When you act on these opportunities he brings

to you, you will become even more powerful.

Notice I said, " WHEN you act on these opportunities. " That's the

key. Taking ACTION. YOU MUST TAKE ACTION TO ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING.

Don't get ideas and just talk about them. ACT ON THEM. Work at them.

Work hard.

Proverbs 14:23I " In all hard work there is profit. But the talk of

the lips leads only to poverty. "

You must seek God first. Develop a relationship with Him. Find out

your purpose, and make a commitment to yourself and to God that you

will work diligently on your purpose every single day of your life.

Once God sees how committed you truly are, He will open the heavens

and pour nothing but blessing down on you so fast and furious your

head will spin. Trust me when I tell you this. But you must always

be mindful that you HAVE TO DO in order to receive.

I now know that God would have never miraculously given me an " A " on

my science test without any assistance from me. You can't call on

the Lord and do absolutely nothing and think He will answer your

prayer ... and as my father often reminded me ... God Helps Those

Who Help Themselves.

Now that you know just how powerful you are, go out there and show

the world. Let everybody know how much power you possess.
