Guest guest
Jolene, That was quite brave of you to say that here! You know, I never would have thought that about you!! I think all of us to a degree are someone we aren't -- at times. But, you are very correct in noticing this -- because I find, " To thine own self, be true " are very wise words. When I am doing this, I'm much happier and more at peace! When I forget, then I'm not! Thanks much for sharing! Guest guest
PJ, LOL I always who I really am online, it is so easy for me...but family life...what do they say about those closest to us? That they are the hardest to love or something like that. I think it is b/c it brings up our deepest issues. So it is all love really. I guess that is what I meant. I just have been learning to " be " me & still be a wife & mother. I think this creates lots of stress when you don't focus on this. Not in a selfish way but burn-out is what happens when, like you said, you are not true to your own self. I despise negativity & what I would do is go around being the peacemaker for all 6 of us. Not that peacemaking isn't a good thing but I wasn't coming from love but fear of negativity. So when I step back & just " be " me then I can just respond as I need to, not overwhelm myself all day long. This has esp been since I homeschool & I am a fire sign & 3 of my 4 children are too. Whew. Intense. Also I read something about my soul sign that really set me free in lots of areas. I have inherited the need to play a role & to feel responsible for everything. So when I put this in perspective that I am reacting from patterns not life, then I am released to be " me " . Hope this makes sense... *¸..· ´¨¨)) -:¦:- ~ @love, Jolene.... ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ~a seeker... a finder...an encourager~ ((¸¸.·´ ..·´ -:¦:- -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´ * If it doesn't bring peace, make another choice >>><<< Jolene, That was quite brave of you to say that here! Guest guest
Jolene, This makes terrific sense!! The lightbulb just went on, and now I've got it! I am a peacemaker around home and family also. It is a role I play well, and yes it is because of fear and negativity. Guess we are very similar! Yes, we all get into the " roles " . " ny's mother " , " Susie's Father " , " Arthur's wife " , etc. But, we need to remember to be who we are too, without the " ROLE " !!! Don't you think?! Much harder to do, than to say, though!!!
