They come in two sizes, S-M and L-XL, to fit kids 38 to 125+ lbs. Available in Jumbo and Mega packs. Boys & Girls S-M: 38-65 lbs (17-29 kg) L-XL: 60-125+ lbs (27-57+kg) Jana wrote: Hi, Can anyone suggest any ideas for my 3 1/2 year old son? First of all, he drinks juice all day long and I don't know if this is common? At nightime he soaks through his nighttime diapers. He is quite tall and weighs 43 pounds. Are there bigger diapers out there or better quality that will last all night. I usually have to change him around 3:00 or 4:00 am every night. I have to wash the sheets almost daily because he rarely doesn't soak through his clothes. Also, I am just not sure what to do about potty training. He will go potty on the toilet almost everytime I take him there, but how do I go about teaching him to do it on his own? I purchased Batts (sp?) online, but you have to read it online and I really don't have the time/convenience to sit in front of the computer all day to read it. Thanks! Guest guest Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 Kroger sells their own brand for much cheaper and for the same quality (if not better). Guest guest Posted June 3, 2006 Report Posted June 3, 2006 I would start limiting drinks after 6 pm....and go to the potty right before going to bed. Also, we have " crib pads " - they are waterproof for using when you have a baby. I put those under my son's sheets so that when he does overflow the night time pullup, I only have to wash the sheet and the pad but not the whole mattress pad. We also use the Good nights. Beth Tanner's mom (age 10) on a side note....try substituting water sometimes for juice. drinking a lot of juice all day can lead to problems with tooth decay! (so much sugar in the juice). Quote

Guest guest Posted June 3, 2006 Report Posted June 3, 2006 Have you tried Positive Practice Potty training? It can be time consuming but very effective ABA based potty training protocol. ginam wrote: We actually use a water-proof mattress pad. ----- Original Message ----- , we have " crib pads " - Texas Autism Advocacy www.TexasAutismAdvocacy.org Texas Disability Network Calendar of Events www.TexasAutismAdvocacy.org Quote

Guest guest Posted June 3, 2006 Report Posted June 3, 2006 Basically you first take data on when your child is wet/dry/BM for about a week. This will help yo figure out how often they go and if it is at the same time. This way you can set up intervals to fall on those specific times. Then you set up a schedule to take the child to the bathroom on 20 minute intervals. You also have the child have an increased amount of liquids that day. You take the child to the bathroom and have them sit on it for about 10 minutes. You have preferred items and activities in the bathroom. If the child goes in the toilet you give them a extra special item that is very reinforcing-make sure it is more reinforcing then the items you have in the bathroom. Some children love it if you have a Potty party every time they go potty on the toilet. If between the times the child is on the toilet they have an accident you do positive practice. Show the child where they are suppose to go potty-on the toilet then go back to where they had the accident and tell them you don't go the bathroom there. You take the child back and forth 5 times every time they have an accident. You follow this procedure until they start going potty on the toilet consistently. It usually takes about a week or so.Summer time is the best time to implement this due to having more time. Make sure you have some extra help from other family members, babysitters or therapists or you may not be able to be consistent. Make sure you stop giving them fluids 2 hours before bed time.At night still use the pull up while they sleep. Eventually they will be able to sleep through the night and have a dry diaper. You can do the same procedure for BM's. Willoughby wrote: Have you tried Positive Practice Potty training?
