Guest guest
Ok, so as far as my mid-meal protein question goes I have the following answers: scrambled eggs, tuna, chicken with some yummy BBQ sauce, cottage cheese, egg salad, bars, shakes, etc. Now, bigger questions... What suggestions can you give me to get through the first week? I've begun the challenge several times, but can't seem to make it through the first week. I'm very serious about making it through the next one and am fishing for any advice you can give me. What I've learned from the past is perhaps the most important factor in getting through the challenge is planning. I think I have that covered now. Also, I think that I may have had some poorly thought out goals and I'm working to make them more real, more atainable, and more measureable. I believe one of the biggest lifts you can get is the support of other people. Unfortunately, my wife thinks BFL is a goofy fad and is not very supportive (of the program that is, with reults I'm sure she will turn). So basically, I'm just looking for any tips you successful finishers may have that I could use.
Guest guest
One thing that really helped me in the beginning was constantly looking over my goals...I even typed them out and made them wallet size so I could get to them easily. Also - my " before " picture was a big motivating factor...UGH - I can't stand the thought of it! I am currently in week 9 and have already impressed my husband (NON-BFLer) that I have stuck with it this long. I get up at 4:50 am every morning to work out and I USED to totally be a night owl, but I changed that in order to make this happen. You just gotta want it really bad ) Good luck...In the words of Rob Schneider - you can do it!! ) hahahahaha! ~jaimee --- drsaxisback@... wrote: > Ok, so as far as my mid-meal protein question goes I have the > following answers: scrambled eggs, tuna, chicken with some yummy BBQ > > sauce, cottage cheese, egg salad, bars, shakes, etc. Now, bigger > questions... > > What suggestions can you give me to get through the first week? Guest guest
Give her a month or two and she may change her mind. I've seen it happen. Guest guest
I'm on my 3rd Challenge (I took a month and a half off between Challenge 2 & 3 , grrrr....but that is another story) On my first Challenge, my ONLY goal was to complete the 12 weeks. Re-read the book on setting goals and do it. List those 4 things you need to accomplish in the next 12 weeks to reach those goals. Mine were to plan ALL 6 meals the night before, plan my workout the night before, get to sleep before 11pm every night so I could wake up at 6 am to workout, to write down everything I ate (no matter how bad) and to read my goal 6 times a day...My Goal was to complete the 12 weeks, not to quit! It worked and after 3 weeks my husband joined me in BFL because he had never seen me stick to anything more that a couple of days. After 6 weeks, I redid my goals and added more in. You can stick to it! Make it your goal! Best of Luck, Jill What suggestions can you give me to get through the first week? I've begun the challenge several times, but can't seem to make it through the first week. I'm very serious about making it through the next one and am fishing for any advice you can give me. Not that anyone currently on this list ever at any time in the past accused you of joining a cult. Seriously, just get your non-supportive spouse to read the book.
