I got my green card approval last week but I cant seem to get them to stamp my passport with the stamp necessary to get work authorization/social security number. & I were up at 4am this morning to join the queue at INS. Finally at 8am we got to the window, and the man said simply 'make an appointment'. The soonest appointment is a week away! I am stressed. I am also stressed about health insurance in the states, particularly as we may have a child in the next few years. To be honest, we are weighing up the cons and pros of heading back to Australia. is already approved for work in Australia (they were the easy ones!). I wish I knew what the right thing to do was.we are wishy washy about it all. If we head back to Aus. would have to give up his dogs and I know that would break his heart.
