Guest guest
Hi Coach! Why not just make GRID open domain! It should be on everyones computer. We just have to build a database to cope with lots of data. The benefits would be the people would have an independant way of monitoring world health, and the movement of disease, and this data comes from the people, this is getting close to a truth I'd like to live in. We help ourselves best, lets really put this to work for everyone. Disease is our enemy, so we have to be able to monitor it in any way we can. A pretty interesting product could be presented to the world with very staggering outcomes. It could be the most useful bit of software on your computer. Lets look at our problem (as the world) so we can fix it (as the world). Ken
Guest guest
Had my MRI. Saw the pain specialist. He noted the x-ray alone shows arthritis is making 2 vertebrae very close together, with a 3rd almost fused. Below them is a disc pushed out of line. He suspects it is pressing on a nerve, causing the pressure and slowly advancing pain. Now will you believe this... that was MY diagnosis all along! Chiro said 3 vertebrae out of line, then it worked down to 1. Close... but no cigar. Do ya think I can get a job as a diagnostician... or a seer??? So next week we're doing an x-ray injection of novocaine and cortisone in the neck on the right side and several spots in the upper back on the left side. It takes about an hour; then I have to take it easy the rest of the day. We'll see how long it's effective. Meanwhile, the cortisone in the knee just lasted about a week, and pain came back. But it's not as bad, and I don't have the feeling of the knee " popping out " at work. There's been a " bug " going around at work and maybe that's what I've got... but can't be close enuf to a bathroom at all times! Gas, too. Nothing seems to work on it, so I suppose it's a virus. 3 days. That's long enuf. Time to be well.

I had complained of symptoms from neck shoulder and arm pain, then advancing to tingling and numbness in arms and hands with finally loss of dexterity till I said poo hoo to my PCP!! I demanded a referral to a neurologists. I'd been seeing an Orthopod whom even performed two very unnecessary surgeries on both hands for carpel tunnel which was a misdiagnosis. My neck is curved slightly the opposite direction of what nature intended. The result as I got older was the neck of a " 90 yr old " bone spurs, stenosis or narrowing of the spinal canal due to pressure from a disc and some fusing that had been there for who knows how long. I ended up having a discetomy and fusion in 95'. I had an excellent neurosurgeon I had great trust in. The surgery was a " snap " compared to all of my others and the pain relief was more than I could have anticipated. BTW: has your doc ever mentioned wearing a soft neck collar of any kind? Do ya think I can get a job as a diagnostician... or a seer??? It just shows how in tune to our body we can be. We know ourselves better than anyone else. Guest guest
Bobbe, I'm sending you a gentle virtual hug! I know how miserable I am when my neck is bothering me and I don't even have arthritis in my neck yet (at least I don't think so). I hope the shots will give you some relief and that you get over your virus. Hugs! Tracey > Had my MRI. Saw the pain specialist.
