Guest guest
I had the EEG this morning. He said that the roughly 1hr, sleep-deprived EEG was within normal. I asked if it's true that you pretty much have to have an event during the EEG for the EEG to show. He told me that typically adult EEGs show nothing unless an event is happening, while children tend to have abnormal EEGs. I questioned that, as I know many parents have said their kids had significant seizures but the EEG was neg. He did state that I sound as if I'm definitely having seizures and gave me a talking down about making sure I contact someone the second I have any sort of onset. I'm having an MRI on Fri. Here's my question. I'm fairly certain my doc will want to put me on some sort of anticonvulsant because he's quick with a pad. Because the only actual times I've experienced anything significant (I've felt like it was gonna happen but never did a couple of times without med) without taking a prescription pain killer, my thought is that I just shouldn't take a prescrip pain killer and forget taking an anti-convulsant. It seems the pain killers have been the trigger. Any advice? Debi
