Guest guest Posted February 11, 2010 Report Share Posted February 11, 2010 My ds 13 started Zoloft (25mg) about two weeks ago. I've been really nervous about putting him on an SSRI - he also takes Tenex - has for 5 years. Last weekend he woke up with a back ache - he was in tears when he woke up - gave him some Advil which seemed to help a bit. Anyway, he also had a sore throat and that evening came down with a fever - had the fever all night, most of the next day. Fever went away, backache got better (still coughing, stuffy), until yesterday he woke up complaining of a backache again - gave him Advil and he hasn't complained since. Has anyone ever heard of backache and/or fever being a side effect of Zoloft? Or is it just bad timing and could be a random virus?
