Guest guest Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 I am sorry that you have to go through all of that. As a parent of daughters, one of which has Autism I can truly empathize with you and your situation. Know you are not alone. Know that the problems do minimize, to lighten your burden. My daughter had fevers when she was little and she was light weight, she sleeps alot too. I think some of it could be Autism. I have noticed phases as she has grown. She will be 13 next month. Crohn's disease it bad. Have they tried surgery? I had co-worker who had a Crohn's disease. He had a very stressful life. He had a brother dying of cancer and another with MR and he felt very close to them. Anyway, Mark had surgery a couple of years ago and he is doing well. He had Crohn's for 10 years. At one point he only wieghed 128 at 6'1 " . Don't worry about the things you cannot change, cry when you need to, and enjoy what you have- those little moments when your kids are doing silly things or when you all are playing. If you have come to the part that you are so stressed that you no longer play with them, then stop and do it. Ester, I know how you feel, I have been there- many times before. Know that looking back there are always two sets of foot prints.
