Guest guest
I am glad to hear that some doctors are more receptive to the PANDAS diagnosis and are beginning to find treatments that work for those children who have PANDAS OCD. I did want to point out that not all children with OCD have PANDAS; I am sure mine does not, given family history. Also, although Zoloft does improve mood, it does also decrease anxiety and the strength of obsessions for some children/adults, thus decreasing their OCD symptoms and allowing them to fight back harder. Zoloft has given us back our daughter and not just because she is happier (although she definitely is). I guess the moral of the story is there is no one size fits all treatment, and you know your own child best. Best wishes to all, (mom with OCD, 9 yo daughter w/ OCD) > > Subject: Re: New- Saving Sammy: Curing the boy who caught OCD > To: > Date: Friday, October 16, 2009, 7:12 AM > I had the pleasure of meeting Beth, > the author last night at a book reading for " Saving Sammy " > last night here in Maine.
