I am glad to hear that some doctors are more receptive to the PANDAS diagnosis

and are beginning to find treatments that work for those children who have

PANDAS OCD. I did want to point out that not all children with OCD have PANDAS;

I am sure mine does not, given family history. Also, although Zoloft does

improve mood, it does also decrease anxiety and the strength of obsessions for

some children/adults, thus decreasing their OCD symptoms and allowing them to

fight back harder. Zoloft has given us back our daughter and not just because

she is happier (although she definitely is). I guess the moral of the story is

there is no one size fits all treatment, and you know your own child best.
