Guest guest
My daughter, Faith, has taken Levoxyl 1/2 75mcg every day since she was 3 years old. She is almost 13. She has a blood test every 6 months and has never needed an adjustment to the amount of medication. Her thyroid is well regulated. I think it is pretty common in Ds.etteTo: DownSyndromeInfoExchange From: slpanda2@...Date: Mon, 28 Jun 2010 18:07:24 -0700Subject: Re: [DownSyndromeInfoExchange] Hyperthyroidism I guess I misunderstood but my son has Hypothyroidism (not hyperthyroidism) it is a condition in which the body lacks sufficient thyroid hormone he will be taking Levothyroxine 25 mcg a day 1/2 hour before breakfast. Shirley Hello, my son's doctor just called today and said my son has Hyperthyroidism and wants to start him on medication. She said it is very early and is starting him on a low dose. My son is 29 with Down Syndrome. If anyone has some first hand knowledge I would appreciate any info. Thanks. Shirley The New Busy think 9 to 5 is a cute idea.
