Guest guest
Hello, I just thought I would check in. I told everyone my mothers symptoms already but I will run them down again real quick. Last weeks symptoms: Frequent urination at night (every half hour), uncontrolled urine and bowels (occationally), confusion, fluid in her legs, swollen stomach (not sure from hernia or fluid), dizziness. I think that was all. Remember she still drinks from the time she gets up till bed time Last night I got a call from my sister. My mom was having pain in her back. I called momma and she said it was sharp pain in her lower back. She said it came and went but I didn't hear much of a break by the way she was talking. It was so painfull for her that she could not talk well. She was mowing the lawn yesturday afternoon. Why I don't know, stubborn I guess. Her alcoholic husband tells her it is just muscle spasms and she will be fine. He told her that they both drank too much to go to the emergency room. So, she refused to go. She took 2 ibeprophen and went to sleep. Normally she gets up every half hour to go to the bathroom, but she didn't. When she finally got up this morning, she went to the bathroom but only went a little bit. I told her it may be her bladder so she needs to go to ER but she said no. I called her about an hour ago and she said she is just going a little bit, not what she normally goes. She said she took a stool softener and had a bowel movement. I am not sure if she normally does that or what. She still refuses to go to the ER. I don't know what to do. Her husband told her that sometimes he doesn't pee much..... So, he is not helping at all. She is very tired right now but she said that ibeprophen does that to her. I just feel helpless, so does my sister. I wish she wasn't so stubborn. I hope it is ok to post all this. I just needed to vent a little. Can anyone give me and idea of what she is dealing with? Thanks,
Guest guest
Hi , what an impossible situation your mother has you in! Most of those symptoms probably cannot be attributed to the HCV. One ballpark guess would be one helluva urinary tract infection. If that is what she has, not treating it will eventually damage her kidneys and that would explain her backache. They are nothing to fool around with, I know too much about them myself. Hope this helps… no matter what the dx is she needs to quit the whining and do something about it. Get her to a doctor if you can. Wish I could be of more help! - Idaho Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in your soul. Dickerson Hello, I just thought I would check in.
