Guest guest
Hello Everybody, Almost 2 weeks after banding and I'm feeling better and better each day ! Only thing that bothers me is that I'm not yet allowed to have any fizzy drinks. Yes, I know, I sound like a spoiled child... But my problem is that I hardly ever drink coffee or tea and I used to get my daily caffeine fix from coke zero (or diet coke). I've been told that it's very individual when it comes to fizzy drinks - some are no longer able to tolerate them, others don't have any problems at all. So, is there anybody out there who would like share their experience with me? My dietician won't even give me any kind of timelines as to when I could try, she just told me to talk to my doc about it. On the funny side: I went to see her today and gave her a list of all the things I had to eat since I had the surgery (e.g. 13 days). She looked through it and told me to eat more !!! That was the first time in my life that somebody was telling me to eat MORE !!! I was waiting for 39 years to hear this Guess she's a bit concerned that I'm not getting enough protein but I just don't feel hungry and have to remind myself to eat, otherwise I keep forgetting it (never happened to me before in my whole life - it's still quite a unique experience for me and I'm afraid that won't last long). Did anybody else have the same thing going on ? And how long does/did it last ? ;-) Cheers,
