Guest guest
Some of the hyper activity can be yeast die off. However folic acid or folinic acid usually requires carnitine for proper absorption. There is so much to know about supplements like for instance some supplements require that you take another supplement for proper absorption. Vitamin D is another instance were you have to take magnesium for proper absorption. Find a biomedical Dr. or a Dr. that understands how supplements and vitamins work and do not try to fix problems by yourself. was put on supplements in 2008 that he know longer needs. Someone needs to test the child to see what you childs specific needs are. Sometimes you have to take supplement vacations. Certain meds cannot be taken with supplements. Digestive enzymes do not need to be taken within 2hours of a probiotic. Probiotics break down founds, meds, etc and it is not needed to take a digestive enzyme at the same time as a meal if taking the probiotic in the morning. Dr. Mumper said in medical school you get about 2 weeks of training on supplements/vitamins. Dr. Mumper ( DAN Doc) said it took her 3 yrs to read and study how supplements/vitamins work on her own.Do this with guidance from a professional. Guest guest
Hi , Yeah, I am not doing this on my own at all. I have changed to Judy Converse, the nutritionist who wrote Special Needs Kids Eat Right. I am not going back to the DAN! doc if I can help it. So long as Judy understands these things, I am a-ok. I just want to make sure I am covering both the issues with DS and Autism. > > Some of the hyper activity can be yeast die off. Guest guest
I saw that something posted about:<<I don't want to have to go back to the DAN! doc that I saw as she was very cold and is very far away.>> I am sorry that you had a bad experience. I have had a bad experience with just about every MD that is not a DAN doc when it comes to . Dr. Mumper is the only Dr. that has taken a true interest in finding what is wrong with . She clearly took the time to figure what he needed for DS and what he needed for Autism. I do not know where you live but Dr. Mumper is in Lynchburg,VA. She will be talking at the conference in Baltimore land coming up. She was a Pediatrician that decided to learn about autism, supplements, and try to help our kids. You know there are snake salesmen in every line of work. You also have to be careful about what kind of Dr. is doing the DAN protocol. If you find a Dr. that is really willing to look at the whole picture with your child and give you more than the 15 minutes allowed time you are fortunate. Doctors schedule patients every 15 minutes. Dr. Mumper gave us time in her office several hours and beyond. Stay with a Dr. you believe in and your child will improve. Cyndi B > > > > Some of the hyper activity can be yeast die off. Guest guest
Thanks! So far so good with Judy. It's by phone consult right now as she lives in Colorado and I'm in Chicago. We have Anju Usman in Naperville here who is supposed to be amazing. We are doing the nutritional aspect first with Judy and then starting the GFCFSF diet (she has you shore up the health first and hopefully that will help the child transfer to the diet more easily.) Once we get going on the supplements and GFCFSF diet, then I can see Anju to continue care. I like Judy because her son is autistic as well. She really seems to care and is so easy to work with. An amazing person and seems to understand the DS aspect. She noticed that Strep shows up in stool tests for kiddos' with DS, something I had never come across before. Anyway, I just want the healthiest, happiest Mina that she can be. I hope one day we could all get together and show off our amazing unique kiddos to each other! > > > > > > Some of the hyper activity can be yeast die off.
