Guest guest
<<Does anyone know of anyone having the dual diagnosis undergoing fusion surgery and can share with us how it went? >> Hi, Everyone....Dorothy.....Welcome.... I don't remember your names. WOW....I don't think I know of any kid having this done. Donna had major surgery on her neck and perhaps she can give you some pointers but she's 'normal'.......I think!!! My son, Gareth, had to have reconstructive hip surgery on the right side due to hip dysplasia. He did pretty good in the healing process....but it was looooooooooooooongggggggggg!!!. He had to wear a hip brace for 3 months and use a walker. We set up a portable hospital bed in the downstairs study and he thought that was neat. Toiletry was hard and painful for the first few weeks. Where do you live.....perhaps someone can help you out. Cruises.....Gareth went on a 7 day cruise with us from Alaska down to Vancouver.....years ago. He did fairly well, except for getting sea sick occasionally. He loved getting dressed up for the formal night dinners!!! And, he loved the small cabins.......I didn't!!! Take care, Everyone.
