violation of safety rules , repeated accidents , etc to the individual

employees and to the sub-contractor.

We

are using following format for the same purpose. We have made pocket size

book in triplicate. This book is available with all safety committee members,

shop floor supervisors and ESH department. Original copy will be issued

to the person violating the rule. Second copy will be given to his supervisor,

and third one to ESH department. ESH department always keep camera with

him to capture the violating situation, which in turn can be used as training

purpose. (How we do wrong)

Some of thing we have not yet started

but intend to do is,

1) Monthly statement circulated

and posted on all notice board with bulleted points. about violation facts

2) Repeated violation by any person

can result in punishment or even more.

3) Counselling or retraining requirement

can be identified through violation pattern

4) Corrective action plans or improvements

can be derived from this data.

5) This can be linked to the performance

measurement and annual increment of supervisor and managerial staff. (weightage

can be decided like other criteria)

Our

safety professional group can add some more benefits / usages of this systems.
