Guest guest
Dear All, There is also a course known as Masters of Industrial Hygiene & Safety (MIHS) conducted by Sardar Patel University, Gujarat in colloboration with University of Cincinnati, USA. The course is recognised by Director - Industrial Safety & Health, Gujarat for working as Safety Officer. Not too many in India are aware of this course which focuses highly on special subjects of Industrial Hygiene. If you want to practice as Safety professional in India, RLI Diploma or ME(Safety ) would be sufficient 2. If you want to work in Gulf countries(They do not know the difference between MTech (Safety), RLI Diploma, malai university diploma or any corres.course) , with Indian qulaification they will take you. With NEBOSH or CSP they will prefer you. 3. US based MNCs will prefer CSP, UK based MNCs will prefer NEBOSH, Indian companies insist for the qualification recognised by Factory Inspectorate. 4. If you really want professional competency, take CSP (Certified safety professional). 5. Also some of our friends have expressed RLI Diploma is Superior. I feel one who has acquired RLI Diploma and NEBOSH diploma would be in a position to compare & comment on this. regards, S.
