Guest guest
I plan on doing a bowel cleanse this weekend--hoping to lose additional ten pounds from the cleanse. At least I am not hungry but my binging mentality has kicked in. I ate 9 grapefruit since 7am this morning it is now 12:30pm and I can't stop eating them--Ruby Red Grapefruit--are sweet and delicious. I am going to try to use a little self disipline and focus on drinking water the rest of the day. Guest guest
Claudina, please do the 9-day program I recommended. Yesterday and today I puree the tuna with sauerkraut. Guest guest
Hi Claudina, I believe that the brand of the supplement is also very important. When I was on my road to healing from lupus I took Blackmore's Omega 3 and I felt very sick in hte head after 3 caps, though my hands felt softer. After that I took USANA. WOw felt wonderful.Pharmaceutical brand-so it is very pure and clean. LAboratories is a good brand to according to ComparativeGuide to supplements by Lyle MAcwillian No 2 supplements are equal. I discover it the hard way. Even my bro who has no illness, he says taking supplements is good for a while after that with prolonged taking he feels like vomitting it out. Hmm many friends had that experience. Just sharing Joni Claudina Pugliese <claudinapugliese@...> wrote: I tried raw egg and made me sick. I think I have to leave the tuna, wich made me sick every time I took it ( and that was every day, as I don't eat meat or poultry ). My reflux is worse, and have pain in my esophagus where I had had a wound almost a year ago. I began to feel worse yestarday when I took 1 tablet of vitamin C each hour, even when is stomach friendly. I only could do it a few times and had to stop. I used to take it only after meal. That was to help me with my constipation. Magnesium make my stomach hurt. I had to sleep sitting wich is very uncomfortable ( still more since I spend most of my day sitting on bed ) I wish I could do the diet like most of you. I'll wait till I'm better. This is a very nice group, and I'm thankfull for that. Love, Claudina. --------------------------------- Moody friends. Drama queens. Your life? Nope! - their life, your story. Guest guest
I'd be inclined to stop, sounds as if he has a bug of some sort and if you see capsules then he might not have taken up the last dose anyways JMHO Mandi x In a message dated 09/05/2010 12:06:33 GMT Daylight Time, kirsty.allen@... writes: My son has been sick at 11am and out next dose of ALA and DMSA is at 1pm.He had his last dose at 10am. Guest guest
I got a cold last week and seem to be getting over it. Does having CMT affect the body more during a sickness? My body wears down and it takes awhile for me to feel 'normal' again. What are good vitamins for a CMT'er to take? Matt
Guest guest
Matt, Anyone, anytime who gets a cold or the flu, feels bad and take a while to get 100% again. With CMT, a cold can be an added 'stressor' so besides the 1)cold, you have 2) stress. Add to that any anti-biotics you take, that can be another stressor. A good general purpose vitamin like One A Day Men's Pro Edge or Bayers One A Day for Men's Health might work. But talk to your doctor because he may have something else in mind. I hope you are eating enough fruit and vegetables and whole grains because so many vitamins are in good food. Somewhere I have a list of what people with CMT should take from Dr. . I will try to find it and repost later. Take a look at this on Multivitamins. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multivitamin I don't take a multivitamin, but I do take Vit. E, as a supplement. Guest guest
Tiredness can come from not eating properly. Have you tried heartburn medication? For me one of the symptoms of heartburn is just that. - Venla On Mon, 14 May 2012 18:57:00 +0100, mechelle <xx_laura_s_xx@...> wrote: > Ok thought I would join in on the weird symptoms messages has anyone had a > lack of appetite and feeling sick after eating very little (I can't eat a > full slice of bread that's how little) I have some pain in my stomach also > and feel very bloated and very very tired > > Any ideas ? > > Thank you > mechelle > > Sent from my iPhone > > On 14 May 2012, at 18:42, <wepsi@...> wrote: > >> >> Since we are going through weird symptoms... Guest guest
First, thanks for sharing the website. It's great to see that people are looking at the way nutrition can support maintaining good health. My only issue here is the idea that this plan is for everyone. Aside from the SMA we all come from different genetic backgrounds with a slew of predispositions built into our DNA. Some people need a high fat diet, others high protein. Lets not discount the other factors involved. My personal issue is refined sugar. I can eat all the fats that I want with no adverse side effects but one little cupcake and disaster. That said, for the widespread respiratory issues found in SMA patients, dairy free diet would absolutely help avoid congestion and other complications. I think I just want to say 'yay for this, but figure out what's right for you.' There just isn't one easy formula for everyone. Susie > > > > > Since we are going through weird symptoms... Guest guest
Yes, it is for everyone who has SMA. Just amount is different. Contact Bodzo who has helped many people with this diet, including her own daughter.
