Guest guest
There was never even a split second where they thought they would need the Verced! We so prepared Freddie for the surgery that he walked away from us into the OR laughing and chatting away with his new stranger friends, the anesthesiologists? It was the cutest thing to see him in his red Lightening McQueen rubber shoes and his under wear clad bum hanging out the back of his gown, just walking away having a blast with his new doc friends!! Toy in one hand the docs hand in the other. Never looked back once to say good bye? My understanding from the surgical nurse is that the anesthesiologist gave Freddie's stuffed toy Stu a vitals check and some gas. Then it was Freddie's turn for vitals and gas. Freddie held the mask himself and went of to La La Land without any Verced. I tell you if your child ever has to go through surgery, you have got to get the Mr. 's book about hospitals. It was great! Having the masks at home to play with way before the surgery helped immensely too!! But thank you all for your advice on the Verced!!!!! nna Mommy to Freddie 7yrs Full Inclusion 1st Grade " We can change the world one classroom at a time " - Gail on
