Guest guest
Hi Kim: The first few times Hunter received IVIG, we drove 2 hours to Children's Hospital. They said we could continue to go down there, but since our hospital does it, why drive. I'm surprised your hospital won't do it. As far as the IGG levels, I requested them, so we know how he is doing. Hunter used to get his iv every three weeks, and I begged to stretch them out. We are at every six weeks. I'm glad your son is doing well. How old is he? What exactly is the CD40 test? POLITICS!!!! > Hi everyone, > > I had to have a good cry today. I know this sounds trivial, but I just got a letter from our doctors office saying that they will no longer have privaleges at the hospital we go to for Hunters IV. It's all politics. We have two hospitals in our city. One is owned by Aurora, and one is Holy Family Network. The doctors office is Aurora, so they are no longer allowed to go to Holy Family. My choice is to switch doctors, or switch hospitals. Switching doctors is out of the question. She has been my childrens doctor for 9 years. The nurses at the hospital do Hunter's iv, (especially one nurse) they are wonderful, and we know them so well, and they know us. His regular nurse has been a pediatric nurse for 25 years. I love her and so does Hunter. The thought of switching hospitals and nurses, and everything familiar, is just devistating to me!!! > > I know I should be positive, maybe they have good nurses, good pediatric nurses. I live in a small town, so there aren't many pediatric patients, plus I'm a nurse myself, and I know some of the nurses that work there. For some reason, when stuff like this happens, it just throws me back to the beginning of why does Hunter have this, where did it come from, etc... I guess I need to be more positive, I'm sorry for venting so much, who else would understand. > > I don't always respond to all the e-mails, but I am praying for each and every one of you and your babies. You all give me strength when I read about what you all are dealing with. I am such a marshmallow when it comes to this topic. I have great difficulty dealing with this. Thanks for sharing your lives, and your children. > > God Bless each and every one of you > > TemmeGet more from the Web.
