I am Mom to 3 Tammy is 23, Tania is 21, and is 15. was diagnosed with PDD(nos) at the age of 11. He however , started exhibiting the signs at the age of 9. It started with hand gazing, then hand flapping, and being a lot less social. I am so sorry about your loss of Jordan. Just wanted to introduce myself, AND to say welcome!! I live in Connecticut. Hello my name is Cecilia, I am just joining this group. I live in the Rockford Il area, not too far from Chicago. My original home town. I am a mother to 6 children, my oldest Jordan is in heaven he died in 1999 @ 8 yrs. old of a brain tumor. He would of been 17 this year, wow time flies. My 5th child Anelise is my trisomy baby and I joined this group for the same reason most of you have. She is 4 now and I have begun to notice tendencies that even I know are not normal, even if she is downs, she does have eye contact when she feels like it or when I force her to look @ me. She stimms all the time and doesn't really play her 23 month old sister Felicity. I'll be very honest @ first I was freaking out, but now I just feel more protective of my Anni, as her older sib feel the same. Let's not forget GOD is still in control. My son is 12 and has DS/Autism & type 1 diabetes. Dylan is our biological child and we just adopted another son, Tyler who is 16 months - he seems to be " normal " so far - what is normal anyway!
