Thank you all for the kind words in response to Nonni's passing. Your

thoughts and prayers are very helpful indeed. We are preparing for the

funeral, which won't be until Wednesday, but it's been good to have

plenty of time to attend to all the details.

I told Pete that Nonni used to live at Manor Care but now she has gone

to live in Heaven. So far as he knows, that is like moving to another

state (ooh, bad pun) but since he is able to make sense of different

relatives live in different USA states than ours, he seems to get " if

you are not here with me, then you are there, which is " not here " .

And as long as he has an ID for wherever " not here " is, he seems to do

okay. Plus lots of photos and memories.

He was very upset this morning when my mom (Grandma) left to go home

to PA. I couldn't tell if he was expecting to get to go with her or

what. He did use his Vantage to tell me " Grandma Home " , so it sure

was on his mind.

Anyway, we are trying to get a respectable outfit together for him to

wear, and I found old dress pants of his Dad's that now fit him!

Seems strange and very nice at the same time.

I too am waiting to hear news from Donna about the grandbaby. Hope

all is well, Donna! Your family is in our prayers.

Here's to a good New Year for one and all. God Bless Us, every one!

And welcome to all you new members. Glad to have so many friends

along the path with us.

Love,

Beth Mum to Pete (aka Ben) age 16 central Ohio

PS. Margaret, are you and Gareth just in a holding pattern at this

point, or do you know anything more? Has he been able to gain any

wait back, or at least not lose any more? You are in our prayers as

well.
