Hi Angie,

Where do you live in Pa? I live just north of Pittsburgh. I have a 9 1/2 yr old with PDD-NOS, Aspergers. We can't wait for spring here. I think this has been the worst winter I have ever seen.

The bushes and trees are starting to green up. The daffodils are blooming and spring is in the air. Bring it on!!!

Hey all,

The report from PA is dreary, rain, rain, rain. I too am looking for those nice days out with the girls. Hannah is learning to run our new Kubota. My husband was wonderful enough to buy that for me for our 10th anniversary last month. Now when I head out to do the barnwork it saves me time and energy. I can put all the girls on plus my buckets and supplies and run back and forth all over quickly. Sure has helped destress my life some. It use to take forever, especially if the baby is along. She insists on toting a bucket, usually five gallon. Even empty it is a load for her.. and the walking is slow especially back up the hill to the barn again. It wouldn't be so bad I would let her go her own pace but our farm is right next to the road, it is not a state road but the traffic still flies, so I try to keep kids close. Our yard is fenced with locks on gates... that was a must when we took over the farm four years ago. At the time Hannah still didn't think of the road as a danger, plus she is not afraid of strangers and would go with anyone who asked her. This is still an issue. Flowers are coming up my gardening is my hobby... girls help, mostly picking. They are getting ready to plant seeds soon. They do enjoy helping it just makes the job harder though when you are trying to involve them all. Glad to not see snow anymore for now though. Crocuses are just finishing up and the daffodils are on the way. Soon the yard will be full of color if not from the flowers than from the kids and all their toys. My girlfriend says it looks like Little Tikes puked in my yard. Colorful way of explaining I guess. LOL Guess we need a little color with all the black and white cows. :) ANGIE

Angie,

I have never heard of either of those places but all of Pa is beautiful. You live on a Dairy Farm? We also have a small beef cattle farm. I grew up on a farm and I love it. I can't do any lifting any more so no more throwing hay bales and such but I still love the animals and getting outside and enjoying the weather. I have to go outside with my because he is afraid of flying insects! Once these kids get something in their heads, you can't get it out!
