Today at work I delivered an 8 lb 12 oz boy named who turned out to have Down syndrome. The mother knew there was a possibility of DS because had been diagnosed on ultrasound as having a ventricular septal defect. I was reminded of the discussion on this site last year about who should deliver the DS diagnosis. Today I was the only Spanish speaker who could explain things to 's mom, so I was it. I know that loving Will, plus reading your posts during this past year, helped me do a better job.
