The acquaintance mentioned below is interested in learning more about

the disability services offered in Melbourne. Any of you " down under "

folks have time to provide some feedback that I can send along? Thanks

=====================================================

Hi friends,

I know there was just a post a few days ago about this same topic, but a

different location. My husband keeps getting encouraged by his company

to consider an opportunity in Melbourne, Australia for approximately

2 years. While Australia sounds wonderful, exciting, and all of that,

I'm very nervous about leaving the US, especially since Tommy is just

getting ready to start school. (He'll start the spec ed preschool this

fall.) We are currently on a short adventure in Vancouver, BC for his

work,but since school isn't a factor yet,it wasn't a huge deal to me.

We have a speech therapist here, and he only gets PT every few months

now, so I can continue that at home. I trust there is alot of learning

to be done no matter where you are, however I certainly want to be sure

he gets the best education possible.

Nonetheless, does anyone have any experiences with schools/services in

Australia? I will contact the Help line per 's recommendation,

too. But, if you have any personal experiences, I'd love to hear from

you.

Thanks!!
