Hi Kellie, No I do not have a similar story, but was just wondering

what the symptoms were - how did you know he had leukemia? I

recently lost my sister (age 46) to leukemia because she did not

recognize her symptoms (attributing tiredness and heavy periods to

menopause) - we lost her only 10 days after she was diagnosed. I

would appreciate if you would share the symptoms that Hagen had, so

the rest of us could recognize them if need be. So glad to hear of

his recovery.

Thanks,

Cherie S.

Oh, I am thinking of you and your family. Good thoughts!Sent from my iPhone

I wanted to let everyone know that I had to take my son to the hospital by ambulance on Friday. He had been quite lethargic, so I took him to his pediatrician and they wanted to get him to the ER ASAP.

It appeared that he was just dehydrated, but after a series of tests he was diagnosed with leukemia.

The doctors tell us that we caught it very early and it is treatable.

I hear this is fairly common in kids with DS. Have any other families here gone through this and are there any support networks available to us?
