Guest guest
Sharon, The poll was posted and created by Yahoo id: ssnrss The same person that posted a few days back about supporting Kerry for president. I hope this person is not allowed to keep making this a political list. Guest guest
Then I guess Sharon should have given her blessing instead of saying it did not belong on the list. I was just trying to help Sharon figure out who posted the poll since she asked in her post. It is political however. Your views are your views and some people may not agree with your views and some do not like having others views pushed on them day after day. Thanks SWPA Sharon agreed that it is important and the results will be interesting. Thanks
Guest guest
Political discussions always cause controversy. That is why I try to stay away from them, polls and all. I will however point out that whoever we as a people elect (or re-elect) is going to be responsible for 4yrs of our future, and the decisions they make can affect our children for a lifetime. So please research your decision before you vote and make sure that you are picking the person that will do the best job for your children's future. Opinion doesn't matter, job performance and lack of is what counts. And if you choose not to vote, then you should choose to keep your mouth shut for the next 4 yrs because you didn't vote. > Then I guess Sharon should have given her blessing instead of saying > it did not belong on the list. At the time I had > not read your post telling me who it was that posted the poll, but I do > appreciate you posting to help me figure out who posted the poll. So I wanted to > make that clear. I did not actually give my blessing, to say, but did say it > was o.k. However I also said I do not like political discussions. Everyone > has different views. I have my views on religion and politics, but would not > preach them to everyone on the list. I said it was o.k. to leave it. However > when I went back and read the poll, I am not sure I understand the purpose of > it. Here is my idea on this poll. If you choose to vote, fine. If not, then > you don't really have to. It's not really expressing any political view, it is > asking for your opinion. I do not like to get political or religious debates > going on a list, because there are to many views, and people are passionate > about what they believe. It can cause debates and arguements, and hurt > feelings. It also takes away from the reason this list was created, and that is to > offer each other support. while it is true whoever is elected will play a > part in Education, IDEA, etc., we all have different views about who that person > elected should be. It doesn't matter how many polls we take, whoever will be > elected will be elected in November and we will have to work with them. So > whatever will be will be. This list is for support. I want everyone to feel > free to vent, post ideas, ask for help or opinions and tell each other what has > worked and what hasn't. If there is legislation that is important, then it is > fine to post. However let's try to focus on support. thanks to all, > Sharon(moderator)
